Vita

Or as I like to call her “Savannah Vita.”  We hook ed up a couple of weeks ago and quickly set up a session.  Make-up duties were assigned to my favorite person in the fashion industry Gorgeous of Gorgeous Faces LLC.  We had a good time hanging out that morning.  I already have another concept for Vita.

Chilly Willee

I shot this while out on assignment for the paper. The subject was “Summer Fun” or something along those lines. It’s just a candid photo of a kid enjoying his first days of summer vacation.

This is probably one my favorite pictures to date. Without going into a novel, this picture really reminds me of my own childhood. The clumbsyness, the funny, all of those fun summers just hanging out with my friends, and basically just everything that was good. Back when I didn’t have any mouths to feed or bills to pay. All I had to worry about back then was which pool we’d go to today and getting the best team for a kickball game.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me love photography. And it brings up a great point. I’m always much happier about my photos whenever I’m passionate about them on a personal level. Images like this pushes me to want to be closer to my subjects. Again, I’m inspired and motivated!

Komen Race 2009

I’ve been particpating in the Komen race for a few years now. Its always a good time to be had there. Here are just a few fun photos of the kids.

Taking the LOVE out…

You may have noticed that recetly the LOVE link has been removed from . OMG!!!! Don’t panic though. I will continue to do weddings however, I will just do them under my other company TBKene’ Fotografia with Joel Lester. The focus of that site has been moved to Weddings only. I’ve wanted jaykene.com to go in this direction for a while. Joel and I have been planning this for a long time and have Finally come up with a great way to convert everything.

I noticed Kira stalking me on myspace and model mayhem a while ago. So I checked out her profile and I liked her look. So I hooked up with Gorgeous of Gorgeous Faces LLC for the make up duties and Kira and I went downtown.

Congratulations Shanell!

Shanell won the casting call voting!  I’m so stoked right now and happy for Shanell and Kevin.  I had a great time hanging out with you guys last night and I’ll be there to support you guys for the next step too!

My model homie Shanell has made it to the 11 finalist for the St. Louis casting call for America’s Next Top Model. Shanell is more than deserving of this and I feel she should be the one to go to California however, CW11 decided to leave it up to the people to choose who goes to the next round. So we have to go to their site and vote for Shanell. Shanell was in 2nd place before they removed the percentages so please go and vote again and again. We have to get her there!
